I started this series about 15 years ago when I stretched this felt material on luan. I made four canvasses and framed them The idea back then was to make assemblages that would move very slowly. The movement would not be perceptible to the viewer. I still like this idea and may return to it someday.
The felt canvasses came in very handy when I was looking for a ground for the larger painted 3d printed imagery. The the felt comes in large rolls and because it is underlayment for floating laminate wood floors, it is very inexpensive.
